Predictability Institute™ was established to provide a permanent organizational home for Predictability Lead Time™.
Predictability Lead Time™ is a structured methodology for retrospectively assessing when developing risk could reasonably have been recognized and measuring organizational recognition in relation to that point. This includes governance documentation, technical publications, educational resources, implementation guidance, version management, and controlled future revisions as the methodology develops through evaluation, validation, evidence, and governed change.
By separating the stewardship of the methodology from its practical application, the Institute helps preserve consistency, transparency, and methodological integrity over time.

Predictability Lead Time™
Flagship Methodology
Predictability Lead Time™ is the Institute's flagship methodology.
It provides a structured methodology for retrospectively assessing when developing risk could reasonably have been recognized, when organizational awareness actually developed, and the recognition lead time that may have existed between those points.
Rather than predicting individual acts of violence, the methodology examines recognition retrospectively so that organizations can identify missed recognition lead time, evaluate recognition performance, and support future organizational learning.
Predictability Lead Time™ has been developed to support consistent, evidence-based assessment while remaining independent of specific software platforms or implementation technologies.
